Integrasi Nilai Syariah dalam Digitalisasi Ritel: Studi Ekspansi Menuju Inklusi Keuangan Syariah

Abstract

This study investigates the role of Toko Basmalah’s digital expansion in promoting Islamic financial inclusion in Indonesia, with particular attention to the challenges of maintaining Sharīʿah compliance and the differentiation strategies implemented at the Kebonsari II branch in Pasuruan City. Addressing a gap in existing literature that often overlooks the practical integration of Islamic ethical values in cooperative e-commerce systems, this research adopts a descriptive qualitative approach, utilizing field observations and semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders. The findings reveal that Basmalah has successfully transitioned into digital commerce through the development of a proprietary application, Bpoin, which enables more effective monitoring of transactions to ensure conformity with Islamic legal principles, especially in avoiding riba (usury) and gharar (uncertainty). While partnerships with third-party platforms facilitate broader market access, the internal digital ecosystem offers greater consistency in upholding Sharīʿah standards. Beyond commercial objectives, this transformation incorporates elements of consumer education and ethical financial literacy, reinforcing the social function of Islamic economic practices. The study contributes to the evolving discourse on digital Islamic finance by demonstrating that cooperatives rooted in Islamic values can strategically employ technological innovation without compromising religious principles. These insights underscore the importance of designing inclusive, value-driven digital infrastructures to expand Sharīʿah-compliant financial access in Muslim-majority societies
